Cardamom Rose Kulfi is so creamy and delicious and melts in your mouth into yummy, sweet goodness. Kulfi is a must try dessert, especially around the colorful festival of Holi. This quick version is easy to make and has the most beautiful floral flavor.

Cardamom Rose Kulfi

Traditional kulfi is made in a thick, heavy-bottomed pot that requires reducing down milk until thick. It then cools before setting in the freezer. This whole process can take a few hours but this simple, whipped cream method requires no cooking and is ready within minutes.

Serves: 8-10 mini kulfis
Ingredients
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream; chilled
  • ¾ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • ½ tablespoon dried rose petals; crushed
  • ⅛ teaspoon cardamom powder
Method
  1. In chilled bowl add heavy whipping cream, sweet condensed milk, and rose water, beat with mixer until stiff peaks are formed.
  2. Add cardamom powder and crushed rose petals; fold in gently with spatula until they are combined well. Do not to over mix.
  3. In small paper cups add the kulfi mixture and top with crushed dried rose petal. Repeat until all cups are filled.
  4. Add popsicle sticks to the centers of the cups. Freeze for at least 6-8 hours.
  5. Once the kulfi is set, remove from cups and serve.
Notes
Using a hand mixer or stand mixer makes beating heavy cream to form stiff peaks, easier.

Just before serving, let the kulfi stand at room temperature for 5 minutes. This makes it easier to pull out the kulfi.

Enjoy,
Nisha

  1. Hi Nisha, for this recipe, in your video you add everything in the heavy whipping cream before using the hand mixer. While in the recipe here, it says fold in rosé water, condensed milk after whipping the cream. It’s little confusing, can you please clarify. Thanks 🙏 😊

    1. Hi Soniya,

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, I have updated the recipe. Hope it helps!
