This past week has been hard as we lost my Papa (paternal grandfather). He is at peace now and is no longer suffering but still it feels as if a piece of childhood is gone. And because so much of this blog includes recipes inspired by my parents, grandparents and family memories, I found it difficult not to talk about it in this space. There are recipes I learned over the phone from my Mom, dishes I remember eating at my grandparents table. This week I am finally getting back into the swing of things and sharing some of my favorite sayings about grandparents.

I’m so sorry to hear about your loss, Nisha. I lost my paternal grandfather in November as well and so I can probably relate to how you are feeling. I really like quote #3… I’m sure your Papa will always be watching over you. *hugs*
I’m so sorry for your loss Reshma. Thank you for your condolences xo

Thank you for the kind words Sarah xo
