The familiar bhajans, the smell of dhoop, a warm d The familiar bhajans, the smell of dhoop, a warm diya… 🪔 It’s these little rituals that make ghar feel like ghar.

May the spirit of Navratri fill your hearts and homes. 🔱✨
Pre-soaked ghee diyas 🪔 less mess, more light ✨ O Pre-soaked ghee diyas 🪔 less mess, more light ✨

One of my favorite little Diwali prep hacks. Make a batch ahead of time and you’ll have ready-to-use jyots/battis whenever you need them, especially during busy puja days.

You’ll need:
✨ Small ice cube tray
✨ Cotton wicks
✨ Ghee

How to:
1. Melt ghee until liquid.
2. Place a wick in each compartment, keeping it upright with a skewer.
3. Pour in ghee, about ¾ full.
4. Let set (refrigerate to speed it up).
5. Pop out + store in a cool, dry place.
That’s it! 🪔

Comment “diya” and I’ll DM you the full guide, links + a few extra tips.

I saw this little matchstick holder and immediatel I saw this little matchstick holder and immediately thought 💭 this would make the cutest dhoop dani for my mandir! 🪔

I light dhoop every day, so having something small, simple, and easy to clean up was exactly what I needed.

If you want one for your mandir too, just comment DHOOP and I’ll send you the link to the dhoop, holder & lighter. ✨

This summer, I got to help my Dad create social content for his nonprofit, @feedhungernow . And while he may have retired on paper, this man truly never stops working, especially when it comes to serving others and his community. 🌱

He’s also always been the most loving Dad, never shy about expressing his love and emotions with us. And today, he’s the warmest, most cuddly Baba our girls could have asked for. 🤍

We are so lucky to call him ours 🫶🏼
Love seeing more and more Diwali decor in mainstre Love seeing more and more Diwali decor in mainstream stores, but honestly, there’s something special about the pieces from South Asian-owned businesses. The quality, details, craftsmanship… you can feel the thought behind them. 🪔

If you’re in the US and decorating for Diwali, here are a few South Asian-owned brands with beautiful pieces. ✨

I’m sharing a few favorites below, plus I’ve put together a longer list with more shops + discount codes.

Comment SHOP and I’ll send it your way. 🤎

And if I missed a South Asian-owned brand you love, tag them below so we can all discover them! 🫶🏽

Recorded this earlier this week before heading out Recorded this earlier this week before heading out to an event. I had 15 minutes and knew I wanted a little body in my hair, so here we are ☺️ I honestly think this is the easiest way to add some curls, trust me, if I can do it, you can too!

A few things I do every single time I curl my hair:

1. Brush it out really well. No tangles! I brush through my hair before I blow-dry and then again really well before I start curling.

2. Use a heat protectant. I have highlights, so my hair is already a little delicate. A lightweight heat protectant is non-negotiable for me.

3. Keep the section flat in the iron. You can see there isn’t a ton of messiness on the barrel. This helps each section get a nice, smooth curl.

4. I use my curling iron like a wand and curl everything away from my face.

5. Don’t touch your hair right away! I let the curls sit and cool before going in with a wide-tooth comb or my hands and letting them fall naturally.

I also don’t usually use hairspray because I like letting the curls fall a little. I prefer that softer, effortless look rather than curls that feel too done.

If you want links to anything I used, comment HAIR and I’ll send them over. Hope this helps 🫶🏼
