How to make Strawberry Cardamom Cake

Strawberry

For as long as I’ve known my husband, food, in particular, homemade food and desserts have been his love language. Making the efforts to learn dishes from his mom, meals we‘ve eaten on holidays, or experimenting with Indian mithaais, gives him an unexplained happiness. I’ve learned his love language so well that I can often tell the days he’s craving what, and even though our daughter helps me decide our weekly menu these days, I always find a way to sneak in both of their favorite foods.

After ages of not baking,  Little Mirchi and I baked this Strawberry Cardamom Cake last weekend. She was so excited to make something for her Papa that he would love, it was the sweetest thing.

Here are some other favorites from the blog that my husband loves:

        1. Hi
This cake looks incredibly delicious! But I want to know if it is ok to separate the batter into 2 pans and then make it like 2 layers cake?
          Thanks.

  3. Hi Nisha,
I LOVE LOVE LOVE all your cake recipes as they are eggless and I do not have to beat my head trying to find the right substitute. I have tried maybe about 5-7 of your cakes and they are just so great. I tried this cake recipe but had run out of strawberries, yet, the cake was so refreshing and a perfect tea time snack…or anytime. Thank you again for giving us these recipes. Can you please post some recipes for different types of eggless frostings? No rush! Take care

  4. Hi, thanks for the recipe but can I avoid the Cardamom and can I use apples or any other fruit if strawberries are not available? Please suggest.
