There are loads of ways to make cheese corn recipes, but my favorite is with a creamy cheese sauce. We have Naan Pizzas often, so I figured why not add our chili cheese corn toppings on naan. Oh, my goodness… this is SUCH a yum pizza recipe and has the perfect balance of cheesy, sweet, spicy and crunchy. It’s a must try for your next pizza night!

For this Chili Cheese Corn Pizza, I used Kawan Chili Coriander Naan which worked perfectly do this recipe. This will make for a great appetizer or family night dinner!

TOPPINGS

In this recipe use boiled sweet corn, bell peppers, onions and fresh jalapeños.

You can also add vegetables like mushrooms, tomatoes or chicken or paneer.

HOW TO MAKE CHILI CHEESE CORN PIZZA

To make Chili Cheese Corn Pizza we first prepare a cheesy white sauce. I use a soft white cheese that melts easily, avoid hard cheeses. My favorites for this pizza are Amul or Mozzarella.

The sauce is spread on toasted Naan.

Spread your favorite vegetables on top and top with some shredded cheese.

Top it will some finely chopped or sliced jalapeños and bake the pizza until the cheese melts.

Your cheesy, spicy delicious chili cheese corn naan pizza is ready.

PREPPING YOUR NAAN

I used frozen chili coriander naan for this which was frozen.

The best way to prepare frozen naan is remove it from the freezer, wet a paper towel and pat it on both sides so it gets slightly moist and bake for 5-7 minutes on 350F flipping halfway through or toast on a stove top on medium low heat.

If using non frozen naan, toast it for 1-2 minutes.

MAKING CHILI CHEESE CORN PIZZA WITHOUT AN OVEN

To make this on a stove top here are the instructions.

Prepare the cheesy white sauce,

Lightly toast the naan. Remove pan from heat and assemble pizza directly on pan.

Spread the vegetables and top with shredded cheese.

Add sliced or chopped jalapeños.

Cover the naan pizza and return to heat, cook on low till the cheese melts.

Ingredients
CHILI CHEESE CORN PIZZA
  • 2 Naans
  • ⅓ cup sweet corn kernels
  • ⅓ cup bell pepper; finely chopped
  • ¼cup onion; finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño; finely sliced or chopped
  • ½ cup grated cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro; chopped
CHEESY WHITE SAUCE
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoon grated cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
Method
CHILI CHEESE CORN PIZZA
  1. Toast the naan lightly until both sides have a slight crisp. You can this by toasting the bread slices on a preheated oven at 350F for 5-7 minutes or in a pan on the stove.
  2. Spread the cheesy white sauce on the naan and top generously with corn, bell peppers and onion.
  3. Sprinkle on grated cheese and top with jalapeños.
  4. Bake for 7-8 minutes until cheese melts and switch to broil mode for 1 minute until the edges start to golden.
  5. Remove from oven, garnish with chopped cilantro and enjoy.
CHEESY WHITE SAUCE
  1. In a pan on medium heat melt butter.
  2. Add flour and whisk well on low heat until the color becomes golden brown.
  3. Stream in milk slowly, whisking until the sauce turns thick and smooth.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, mix.
  5. Now add cheese, mix, and turn off heat.
Notes
While making Cheesy White Sauce maintain a low heat. Remove from heat immediately after you mix in cheese, else the sauce will become lumpy.
