Toka Box | A cultural treat in a monthly subscription box. A sneak peek inside the April Box.
We received our monthly Toka Box and are sharing a peek of what’s inside! This month we received the book, The Boy and the Drum and a fun accordion drum craft. Little Mirchi even asked me for makeshift drumsticks to rock out with her sweet little creation. It’s so fun to see her curiosity each month as we get our boxes. Whenever the mailman arrives with her Toka Box she squeals with delight “for me?!”
One of the things I love about The Toka Box is that it’s very age appropriate. The crafts are interesting enough to get Little Mirchi excited but easy enough that she doesn’t loose interest. Last month my parents were visiting so Little Mirchi made her Holi t-shirt craft with my Mom. This month I thought it would be a fun idea for her to do the craft with my husband. My husband is not an arts and crafts kind of guy so he was pleased that the activity was easy enough for him and Little Mirchi to do together. It was such a wonderful opportunity for them to create something together.
Toka Box, formally known as IMC Treasure Box is a monthly subscription box that’s filled with hand picked children’s books, arts or crafts and a kid friendly recipe that makes learning fun. Each Toka Box subtly builds life skills from patience to problem-solving and incorporates academic themes such as reading, math, history, science and the arts. The boxes come tailored for two different age groups. The “Toka Junior” is for ages 3-5 and “Toka Explorer” for ages 5-8. I chose to review the Junior box as it was age appropriate for Little Mirchi.
Look at that happy face, so proud of her creation!
