Spiced Chai Martini
During the winter months I find my self drinking copious amount of chai in all variety’s, kadak, saunf, Kashmiri and more. The creamy drink can be enjoyed hot, as it is, but, when cooled and shaken with vodka it is transformed into a smooth, generally spiced and perfectly sweet cocktail. Yay for another excuse to drink chai.

While there are many ways and a variety of spices that can be added to chai, for this martini I only use cardamom and freshly ground nutmeg. Nutmeg, is a delicate sweet spice and a popular ingredient during the holidays, it has a warming quality about it, making it perfect for Holiday drinks. Besides it’s fragrant aroma, this spice has some major health benefits as well. While used sparingly in dishes, it can impact your health in a variety of ways. Some benefits include, helping induce sleep, relieving pain, brightening skin,  aiding in digestion and boosting circulation. A small dash of this spice makes a powerful impact!
Spiced Chai Martini
This Holiday season we’ve partnered up with The Spice Monger to bring you this sweet, smooth and warming Spiced Chai Martini. The Spice Monger, was created by a husband and wife duo who began their spice journey with the birth of their daughter, when they started actively transitioning to an organic lifestyle as the healthiest option for their family but found the lack of truly affordable organic spices in the marketplace disheartening. A trip to India inspired them both to find a solution to this problem. The lush mountains of Wayanad coastal district are inhabited by spice farmers cultivating the same spices their ancestors sowed thousands of years before. These farmers are getting back to their roots by reviving ancient farming practices that today are termed “organic.” They decided to import spices from Wayanad, helping the local economy and bringing organic spices to the US. And so, The Spice Monger was born.

If you’ve followed my blog for sometime you know that we as a family also switched to more homemade, less processed post parenthood, so when I was introduced to The Spice Monger last year I instantly fell in love with their mission and quality of products. I’ve personally been using their cardamom, nutmeg and black pepper for the past year now and I can tell you there is a huge difference in quality and flavor from the non organic choices. Another wonderful option this brand gives you is the option to buy in small batches or buy in large quantities. Which is perfect for when you only use certain spices sparingly and others on an everyday basis.
This Festive season, The Spice Monger is offering free shipping on orders $20 or more. Use promo code TSM2017B.
