Mix + Match: Pajami Pants

Mixing and matching pajami pants with three different tops. A fun and simple way to refresh your desi wardrobe.

Mix + Match: Pajami Pants
Let me preface this by saying I’m no fashion blogger, I have no idea how to pose and what the heck to do with my hands! Seriously, someone let me in on the secret. That being said, I love wearing Indian clothes and always wish I had more opportunities to wear traditional pieces. I thought this would be fun to share my desi style!

Mix and matching Indian clothes is one of my favorite things to do. I love pairing basics with different tops, bottoms and dupattas for a varied look. My trip to India after having Little Mirchi was a total bust in the shopping department. I didn’t have the leisure of going fabric sourcing for hours while designing my “perfect outfit”, she wasn’t ready to part ways and my body had changed post baby. I also knew I had tons of clothes at home but I had already worn them with their paired bottoms/dupattas or they needed adjustments.

Now more than ever shopping for basics has become a must for me. I get the best use out of my Indian clothes and outfits and they still feel new! This last trip to India I shopped smarter, a few select pieces, a few alterations to current ones and some basics that I could rotate with things I already had. This is my take on one pajami pant worn with three different tops.

  1. Really beautiful outfits. Love the coulors! Do you buy ready made tops or stich them? I have some traditional kameez salwars but would love to get some casual tunics which can go with jeans or leggins. Can u recomand any shops in India or in Europe? Thanks

  2. Though u said u dont know how to pose or what to do with your hands, u look stunning. Can u please please tell me WHAT do u do that u have such lustrous hair?? I’m spellbound. I’m a harried mom from Karachi currently suffering from super dry hair. Also I should mention I’m really bad with managing my time.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    1. Hi Aamna, Thank you for the kind words. To be honest I don’t do much. My hair is naturally wavy so I do straighten it once a week, after applying a heat protecting serum. Every few weeks I apply a hot oil treatment or deep conditioning mask to help with any damage I may have done with the blow dryer or straightener. I hope this helps!
