Procrastination
Little Mirchi’s first birthday party is a few weeks away {still trying to overcome the shock that she is almost 1 years old} and I have literally done nothing to prepare. Does pregnancy brain turn into Mom brain mush? First I sent out her invites wrong (I had my days messed up) and then I realized today I haven’t even ordered the cake or picked out decorations. What is wrong with me? Last year while planning the Baby Shower I was so on top of everything. Sigh… maybe I’m just in denial that she is going to be one?

Job Role
Director of Operations. That’s right… at least that’s what I’ve been telling my husband he should call me after watching the touching video below. The best was some of the interviewee’s reactions on how it was “inhumane”. Oh and the part about how you can only eat lunch after the associate eats lunch had me in stitches… they got it spot on. Cheers to Moms, who are all sorts of awesome.

Piles of Tile
This week our contractor told us that we would need to pick out our tile for the bathrooms soon. While I have spent years saving pictures, creating Pinterest boards and browsing numerous house blogs, I now find myself second guessing if my original choices is really what I want. Now that it’s getting real I just want to make sure that we will love our choices for a long time to come. {If you’d like to read more about our construction journey check out these posts: 1 & 2}

Oh, I’ve been there with the tile! I had so many pictures saved on houzz.com and on pinterest and to my photo albums. I second and tenth guessed myself especially after listening to everyone’s opinion, but I realized that most of the choices I ended up making were the concepts I liked from the beginning. Its been about 3 months and I still have no regrets. Trust your gut!
I think that’s what is going to end up happening because I obviously saved those choices for a reason haha hopefully I don’t do something too impulsive that I end up questioning later 😉
1st birthday is a really big deal, at least for the parents 🙂 I’m sure what ever you end up doing will be amazing as long as she surrounded by people who care about her. p.s. Pregnancy brain totally turns into mommy brain!!
